Sustainable Development Projects (SDP) - DVP

Sustainable Development Projects (SDP) - DVP is a non-profit non-governmental organization established in 2007. The organization is working in the regions of Lithuania and has several branches there. Sustainable Development Projects has been established to promote sustainable development principles to public policy decisions by training and publicity actions. SDP is a spin off from the National Development Institute (please see www.npi.lt). One of the main target groups of SDP is young people.

SDP’s main implemented projects are:
- “Promoting young peoples’ participation in non-formal education activities by participating in Youth Entrepreneurship Clubs” (2009)
- “A Promise for the Lithuanian youth” (2009), aimed to develop skills to citizens control
- „Homo creator Lt“ (2008), targeted to train skills of youth to analyse public policy decisions;
- “I create business in Panevezys” (2008); – European Values and Lithuania: the impact of change (2010), implemented according to the agreement with the Ministry of Foreign Affaires of Lithuania.

In 2011 SDP will participate and implement several projects:
- “COF:FEE in Series…”, feasibility meeting project in order to plan development of innovative conflict management and intercultural learning programme for youth workers and practitioners.
- “THIS IS ME – Treasure Hunting – Intergeneralional and Intercultural Stories”, Grundtvig Learning Partnerships project.
- COMTRAIN – a project aimed at development of both competence measurement tool and training programmes/ materials to entrepreneurs. This is a Leonardo da Vinci Transfer of Innovation project.
